Everyday life sprinkled with pictures and books.

Friday Thoughts August 6, 2010

It’s the beginning of August and yet my house is surrounded with fog and chilly wind. I couldn’t be happier! I love fall and winter (because it’s summer right now, wait until January and I will say I love spring). I hate really hot weather if I am not at the beach. Warm days fall somewhere in the middle, I sometimes love ’em or hate them. Today’s weather has me wanting to go to cabin somewhere with snow and pine trees outside. Is it too early to start thinking about Christmas? It probably is, so I’ll just think about Halloween instead. Whenever I think of Halloween I think of cute Victorian houses with red and orange leaves in the front yard and decorations on the front porch. I found this Halloween village house on Amazon that shows what I am talking about:Anybody ever play the board game Life? Well if you have you know what I’m talking about when I say I would always want to buy the Victorian house (and not the darn split level!). I also like the way towns look in movies and television, like Hocus Pocus or Pretty Little Liars and in my opinion no home would be complete without a library, this one is from the Biltmore Estate:It’s so dreamy, but it’s not too much right? I would like to visit this estate sometime, maybe read a book sitting next to this ginormous fireplace.

Happy Friday!

The site looks beautiful Anaiz! I’m terrible at the game Life, but I love the picture. I can so see myself sitting on a cozy chair near the fire, holding a book in my hands, and tea in the other.

Fog … I’m so jealous! I am so ready for autumn … lighting candles, sipping a warm cup of goodness, baking, snuggling up to a good book! *sigh*

  3. Haha! It is NEVER too early to start thinking about Christmas. I’ve already begun adding Christmas songs to my iPod!! 😛
